Our Philadelphia Roots
Naked Chocolate was born in Midtown Village with its original location at 1315 Walnut Street and two satellite stores in Rittenhouse and University City. Unfortunately sometimes life happens and after 6 wonderful years in Philadelphia, we made the difficult decision to close. Our first venture after leaving the city was purchasing Pierre’s Chocolates in New Hope, PA. Our family never wanted to let Naked Chocolate go, so we constantly worked on a new business plan for the evolution of Naked Chocolate. In 2019 we settled into our new home at the Village at Newtown in Bucks County, PA. Naked Chocolate’s Philadelphia roots will always be tried and true (see Justin’s Phillies hat in his bio pic).
Family owned and operated, we invite you to join us in celebrating the flavors, textures, and nuances of some of the most wonderful chocolate varietals in the world. Our cacao has been responsibly sourced through fair or direct trade with small, hard working, equatorial family farms. We make everything in house, collaborate locally, and hand paint with all natural cocoa butter colors.
Naked Chocolate specializes in Bon Bons & Bars and is also known for our critically acclaimed Hot Chocolate Mix which we make in house (sipping chocolate) and was seen on Rachael Ray Show and Food Network's "Unwrapped" as well as USA Today. We hand grind single-origin cacao, select cocoa powders, and a little bit of pure cane sugar for the most intense drinking chocolate experience you've ever had. We also have fantastic assortments for life events, corporate gifting or just someone special that deserves one of our curated chocolate relief boxes. A quick drive from Center City to Newtown Bucks County or online to ship anywhere in the USA at www.nkdchocolate.com. Follow us on Instagram and Facebook for posts of our seasonal collections and specialty items.
We like to say "Life Happens. Chocolate Helps." We hope you agree and indulge.
